Dr David Chu, BDS

Associate Dentist

Dr David Chu joined the Pure Dental Toowoomba team in 2024, bringing with him valuable experience since qualifying as a dentist in 2019. A graduate of James Cook University in Cairns, Dr David is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles and restoring their ability to enjoy their favourite foods.

Dr David's journey into dentistry began after witnessing the remarkable transformation of a severely damaged tooth into a beautiful restoration. This inspiring moment showed him the perfect blend of artistry and healthcare dentistry offers.

When not caring for patients, Dr David enjoys watching comedies, hiking and travelling. You might also find him battling the elements in his garden to 'stop it from becoming a forest' or playing what he modestly describes as 'terrible piano and guitar.'

Dr David claims his truly unique habit is flossing his teeth every day (and challenges anyone to prove they're as consistent!). A fun fact about Dr David? He's a nostalgic fan of classic Disney animations, having watched The Lion King and Aladdin countless times on VHS in his younger days. Hakuna Matata!
